About This Project

This rustic fisherman’s cottage was created as a low-poly game asset featuring:

• Wooden structure: Planks, beams, and roof tiles
• Weathered details: Cracks, moss patches, worn textures
• Interior elements: Fishing nets, barrels, lanterns
• Natural surroundings: Rocks, water edge, vegetation
• Atmospheric lighting: Golden hour with volumetric fog

Modeling Workflow

Phase 1: Blockout (15 minutes)

1. Create basic box shapes for walls and roof
2. Set correct proportions using reference images
3. Add simple pyramid roof shape

Phase 2: Detail Pass (45 minutes)

1. Extrude individual planks from wall surfaces
2. Model roof tiles using repeated geometry
3. Add windows, door, and chimney details
4. Create props: fishing nets, barrels, crates

Phase 3: Materials & Lighting (30 minutes)

1. Apply vertex colors for wood variation
